KAST OFF KINKS

  • The Dome 2A Dartmouth Park Hill London, NW5 1HL United Kingdom (map)

Former members of the Kinks, Mick Avory, John (Nobby) Dalton, and John (Baptist) Gosling, with guitarist vocals Dave Clarke started occasional gigs in late 1993, initially for charity fundraising shows in the Hertfordshire area. In 1994 they played their first show for The Official Kinks Fan Club at Broxbourne Civic Hall, followed by more fund raising and the occasional club show now with the name Kast Of Kinks. From 1996 the fan club began their annual shows at the Archway (Cheekos) with the band playing all around the UK plus excursions into Holland and Norway. With the Archway closing around 2000 the fan club moved to the Music Room at the Boston Arms. Kast off Kinks continued to build a live following on the UK Arts Theatre/club circuit. In 2008 "Nobby" and "Baptist" retired due to health reasons with former Kinks Ian Gibbons and Jim Rodford joining, at the same time taking the group to an increased level of touring. Soon after the fan club moved upstairs to The Dome having outgrown the music room. We sadly lost Ian and Jim prior to "Lockdown" but in 2021 the Fan Club show and the band were rescued by former Kinks Keyboard player Mark Haley, and Bass player Mike Steed and so a new live era has formed. Kast off Kinks have resumed theatre shows around the UK but the Fan Club show at the Dome is the only show where they have guest players and additional musicians/singers with an expanded set and bigger sound.
